CLIENT

YuRide is a Ride-Sharing service proudly founded by YorkU Alumni. It strives to tackle the public transportation issues faced by university goers and provides a solution to the major environmental challenges encountered within the York community.

Challenge

The client had an in-house knowledge in software engineering. However, the company required expertise help with building mobile application before releasing it to the market for a large load of users.

Features

Architecture

Working on phase one of the mobile app, we developed the core architecture of the product. It included design, aesthetics, and testing. Later, the client was adwised on the technologies to employ for reliable perfomance of the software.

Integration

Using Reactive Native, key integrations were developed: capability for transactions on a university card, logins through university authentication, matching students, faculty, and staff for commuting to help share costs.

Design

We created clean, modern, and user-friendly UX/UI design that integrated the application with a payment solution, Google Maps, and York University system.

It's all about well-thought-out development of a cross-platform mobile app.

Now, each student, using their own authorization with the York University system, may join the application community, find mates, who plan a trip over the same route and share traveling costs.
