Spot9 is a Berlin-based startup (now part of Kurant Bitcoin ATM & Service) that merges bank account management with cryptocurrency trading, providing users a unified financial dashboard and seamless transactions.
Challenge
- Combine bank and crypto portfolios in one secure app, supporting KYC, multiple bank account linking, and live crypto market data for a seamless user experience.
- Provide analytics tools for transaction insights, ensuring investor-ready documentation, including deliverables lists, PM plans, and risk analysis to align with business goals.
- Scale to support high-volume financial operations with strict security and compliance requirements.

Requirements Analysis & Team Formation
Conducted deep business and technical analysis, then assembled a cross-functional team covering both traditional finance and crypto domains.
Design Creation
Built a Figma prototype illustrating combined banking and crypto workflows, incorporating transaction analytics and intuitive navigation for both novice and power users.
Development Process
• Front End: Swift iOS app with modules for registration, KYC, banking dashboard, crypto portfolio, and market tracking.
• Back End: Built with spring Boot microservices exposing REST APIs for account management, crypto trading, and analytics, deployed via Docker on Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure: Utilized AWS EKS, S3 for secure storage, Terraform for IaC, and Redis/Kafka for real-time messaging and data synchronization.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Executed end-to-end automated and manual test suites, utilizing JUnit, integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines to validate functionality, performance, and security.
