OctopusLabs is the fintech innovation unit of the Octopus Group. They’re building smart financial products and using tech to drive cultural change.

Challenge

The old system had frequent errors due to mismatches between information input by op1 and op2. The errors happened with interactions with other systems as well (WDX, AMLKYC, etc). Approximately 50% of applications would have to go to at least the Op1 fix stage. These were mostly email addresses and postal addresses.

Our team solved several problems of manual digitization of paper forms and further integration of this data into third-party systems (“Novus” and “Watson”).

Enhancements

The project made the following major improvements: added source of wealth, simplified procedure for re-checking the application, created power & system users for automated processing of applications, etc.
