Europe’s no.1 vehicle remarketing company specializes in multichannel auctions. Throughout Europe, BCA brings vehicle buyers and sellers together, working with Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. BCA is making vehicle remarketing more profitable and successful for all their customers, with physical auction sales and online sales as well as helping them with logistics and preparation.

Challenge

The client needed to bring together all available data regarding the results of the vehicle inspections, including car make, model, colour, noted damages, photo images and generated reports. It would be provided for vehicle owners as well as potential buyers. The old application they were using performed slowly and had limited functionality, as such it was hard to extend and support.

Therefore, the client needed us to help them develop a modern and user-friendly solution that would meet their business needs, be more maintainable and easier to support.

Methodology

The project was delivered using a Scrum methodology with bi-weekly sprints, where we worked with the client on requirements elicitation to define a maintained backlog of business needs.

Architecture

The company works across many countries, so the architecture of the app should be scalable. We could achieve that only by understanding the business goal and the client's specific needs.

Design

Our UI/UX designer created a rich but simple user-friendly interface. It allowed our development team to implement an iOS application that integrated with their ERP through a defined API.

Support

After rigorous user acceptance testing and successful development, we continue to provide support for the solution, along with ongoing enhancements, the PDF & HTML reports for internal and external purposes.

The application enabled the client’s agents to perform inspections and order transportation in real-time by visiting the location of the car. These inspections were used to help sell the vehicle or analyze its condition for potential leasing purposes.
